Loc Update: I Re-twisted My Hair for the First Time Featuring Melanin Haircare
Even with salons being open now in Palm Beach County, the risk of getting my hair done just isn’t worth it at the moment. Can you believe that I started my loc journey May 2015 and not once have I ever re-twisted my hair myself…well until now. I watched a few palm rolling tutorials on YouTube and then jumped in the shower to shampoo my hair.
With clean, damp hair, I sectioned my locs into four sections. I applied the Multi-Use Pure Oil Blend from Melanin Haircare to my scalp and roots and then palm rolled each locs. I temporarily held the re-twisted locs in place with bobby pins but once I finished a section I would then go back in and two-strand twist my locs.
About three hours later I was left with shiny, neat locs and a happy scalp! To say I’m proud of myself is an understatement!
