Black Owned Dupe for Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz

Let me start off by saying I’m not here to shake any tables. This all started when I stopped by Ulta one afternoon to purchase another ABH Brow Wiz pencil. To my surprise the price had increased. Why? I mean, the packaging was still the same as was the amount of product. Even the Ulta sales associate couldn’t tell me why the price had gone up. She said that companies do that from time to time without reason. Whet?!

That evening I looked online for dupes and read about the NYX brow pencil but after trial and error I couldn’t find one to match the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz pencil in Dark Brown. A few weeks ago I was in the market for new make-up and was focusing on buying from Black Owned Businesses. I was on the Mented Cosmetics website searching for a foundation when I saw their menu had a brow category. There are four shades with each pencil only costing $15. Torn between Brow or Later (medium brown) and Brow Down (deep brown), I decided to go with the lighter shade knowing I can just fill in my brows more if I needed to deepen the color.

From the picture above, you can see that I definitely made the right choice! Brow or Later from Mented Cosmetics is a tad bit warmer than that of the ABH Brow Wiz in Dark Brown but I think that works better for someone like myself with golden undertones. I’ve worn the pencil for a few days and it’s amazing. I’ve even purchased a few more since then because I don’t want to run out without a backup.
