Outfit of the Day: Button Down and Boots
Another grainy picture but your girl is still serving a look!
But seriously, when I leave home for work, it’s usually still dark outside. And I haven’t gotten comfortable with others taking my pictures, especially in public. I hope to change that soon. Life is too short to be anxious.
Now let’s discuss this look.
This was most likely a Friday. Friday is the day made for jeans to work, right?
My favorite type of a shoe is a boot. I wear them with everything. Dresses, shorts, jeans, everything! This pair in particular were part of a bunch of boots I purchased over a decade ago. And yes, they have been donated as well. You know that this means don’t you? I need A LOT of new boots come this Fall!
The jeans are my favorite brand/style, the Old Navy Power Straight High Rise jeans. Yes, I know. Old Navy. But hear me out. This cut of jeans are perfect for those with inverted triangle body (or apple) shapes such as myself. If you’re not one for distressing, don’t stress. The Power Straight styles change quite frequently so check the website and your local store often. Right now they have some in this boyfriend cut, but I’m on a “No Buy” until (at least) June. * Insert thug tears here*
My faux glasses (I wear my contacts during the day) are from Firmoo. I can’t remember the style number and that makes me so sad because I really need a new pair in this exact style.
And my favorite part of this look? The shirt! I scored it during one of my thrifting trips to Goodwill. I’d been wanting a shirt like this for a while and damn near broke the hanger snatching it off the rack so fast.
I can’t wait to get back to thrifting but the way this coronavirus is set up... Palm Beach County is partially opening this coming Monday, but I’m going to hold off just a bit longer before getting back to my normal routine. Maybe mid-June? Early July?
Le sigh. Patience is truly a virtue.
