My First Luxury Handbag & Wallet featuring Gregory Sylvia

Gregory Sylvia Natalia bag and Cora Wristlet.jpg

Now before I get started, yes I do own other designer handbags. Coach. Dooney & Burke. Michael Kors. However, none of these were purchased with my hard earn dollars. All were either gifts or hand-me-downs. I am all for a well made, handcrafted purse, but I have personal issues with shelling out such dough for companies that well... for lack of a better word, don't seem to cater to people like me.

Not to throw in the race card, but as an avid reader of fashion magazines I rarely remember the companies mentioned above (or other popular ones for that matter) with ads featuring us brown skinned girls.

So what do I do? Embark on a Google search to see if there were any Black owned handbag companies. After looking through several websites, I settled on the designs of husband and wife duo Gregory and Terri Sylvia Pope. Based in North Carolina, not only does the Gregory Sylvia line have unique pieces, they also donate a portion of their sales to one of the local homeless shelters.

From the initial browsing of the site I had my eyes set on the "Natalia" bag. Made of lambskin with gold tone hardware, it was the "Little Black Dress" of purses. Great for everyday wear with a bit of sass. After being so impressed with the "Natalia," I decided to make a second purchase pairing the handbag with the Cora Wristlet.

Shipping on all orders is complimentary. And who doesn't love free shipping?! Both orders arrived very quickly and packaged so nicely. My next purchase may call for an unboxing video! The quality of the Gregory Sylvia products are absolutely amazing and worth the price. I look forward to future designs and collections!
